Ttappis stays true to the standards of traditional Cypriot dishes and has managed to stand out as one of the best for many years. The popular tavern is known for the amazing taste of their food, quality of their ingredients and excellent service. The restaurant itself is simple and hospitable, and provides a memorable dining experience. On the menu you will find homemade and seasonal meze, great egg dishes, rich salads, as well as many delicious grill choices.

MOUSIKOS

You won’t feel summer until you visit Mousikos tavern in Sotira. Its charming courtyard is where you will want to sit down and enjoy dinner under a vine. Order a meze and get a truly local flavour. You will be served fresh halloumi cheese that melts in your mouth, warm homemade bread and amazing Cypriot dishes.

OLD SIMOS CAFE RESTAURANT

Traditional Kleftiko

COSTARIS

Costaris makes one of the most famous traditional Kleftiko in Cyprus. Portions are big and are filled with flavours and aromas. The owners personally bake the meat in the oven for hours before serving and until the meat is ready to be served hot and literally ready to melt in your mouth! Kleftiko is served with potatoes, onions, lemon and bread. Apart from their famous Kleftiko, you will also find various other types of grilled items.

PAPAS RESTAURANT

This authentically and very simply decorated restaurant serves one of the most delicious Kleftiko of the island. This is the place to go to enjoy authentic Cypriot Kleftiko made from goat and sheep meat that is served with potatoes, cucumber, tomato, vinegar, onion and lemon. The restaurant is located opposite the Improvement Council in Frenaros.

Fish Taverns

KALAMIES RESTAURANT

Opened in 1976, Kalamies, in an idyllic landscape where visitors can enjoy a magical view of the sea and the blue and white domed church of Ayios Nikolaos in Protaras. This lovely family-run restaurant is popular with seafood lovers and serves excellent food with a traditional Cypriot hospitality. If you enjoy seafood this FI H is definitely the place to go to with a variety of dishes to choose from. The menu is based on the freshest raw materials and ingredients. Fresh fish and seafood are the main items on the menu, while it also provides a wide variety of salads, pasta dishes, Cypriot recipes and grilled dishes. For those not sure what to order, the Fish Mezé is also a perfect choice! You must try their desserts and particularly kunefe, a traditional dessert that they make with great taste! Highly recommended!

KARAS FISH TAVERN

The Karas Fish Tavern is run by three brothers and is located 200 metres from the beach. Opened n 1995, the name Karas is synonymous with quality fresh fish, and is regarded as one of the best fish restaurants in Cyprus. Their speciality is indeed their ‘Fish Meze’. Alternatively, there is a variety of fresh fish selections as well as a full menu of traditional Cypriot and International dishes, including slowly-cooked Kleftiko, Moussaka, and a meat based meze of about fourteen dishes. Alternatively, there is a variety of fresh fish selections including Oysters and their special oven baked Sea Bass in a salt crust. Finally, the restaurant offers a nice selection of wines from all over the world. This relaxed, family tavern serves generous portions and has spirited service with a smile within a covered cool yard in the summer.

VASSOS (PSAROLIMANO) FISH TAVERN

Set in a beautiful scenery right in front of the picturesque Ayia Napa Harbour, Vassos Fish tavern opened in 1962. The popular tavern combines a great location with a quality fish menu which allows you to choose your own fish and request your favourite way for it to be cooked! Their list of fish is endless and unusual. They also have a separate mouth-watering sushi menu and a variety of dishes for those not favouring seafood as well as an exquisite wine list. Vassos Fish Restaurant remains humble at heart: it keeps the spirit of the tradition it carries, offering the same warm hospitality its founders did and choosing among the top quality of fish local fishermen bring every day. SPARTIATIS TAVERN

Spartiatis is the master of the grill and frying pan and offers impeccable service with enviable views of Konnos bay below. This family run restaurant is one of the favourites of the area, it pays attention to its ingredients and serves fresh fish, seafood gourmet dishes including various fish Carpaccios and ceviches.

MEGU

A stylish and inviting space, furnished with white leather chairs, a beautiful outside veranda, atmospheric lighting and an exotic décor. It has to be said that this is one of the favourite Japanese restaurants in Ayia Napa. Megu’s quality Japanese gastronomy is offered through an excellent service.

SUSHI YAMA

Sushi Yama is the first fine-dining Japanese restaurant in Cyprus, while it is the latest culinary addition to Ayia Napa Marina’s Commercial Village.

Taipei opened its doors to the pubic over 20 years ago and still holds nothing more than passion to offer quality Chinese cuisine. ABACUS

Located right in the centre of Ayia Napa, this chic fine dining restaurant owned by two brothers is an all-day hang out which offers a lovely setting on a busy junction of Ayia Napa. Abacus also boasts a trendy chill out lounge to meet everyone’s needs. Folio Restaurant is located in the heart of Protaras and has been around since for decades, initially opening its doors in 1997. Throughout the years, Folio has succeeded to maintain its high standards and quality of food. With an extensive menu at hand and years of experience, one of Folios specialties, are its Dry aged Steaks. Yet, as it defines, Folio isn’t just a steak house; it also serves Mediterranean cuisine and excellent sushi. LA CULTURA DEL GUSTO

A completely revamped popular restaurant in the Pernera area in Protaras. This stylish restaurant reopened its doors at the beginning of the year, ready to welcome its very loyal customers once again, in its obviously renewed and modernised space. Having established itself on the gastronomic map of Protaras and emerged as one of the most ageless restaurants in the area, this is where to go to have a good steak and quality dishes. Its new space is warm, atmospheric, with new furniture and impressive décor. The menu includes seafood, meat, excellent steaks, fresh salads, appetizers etc. Its sweets menu and particlualry its homemade sorbet is also something to look out for.

L’ATELIER ROBUCHON

An open-kitchen theatrical haute cuisine where award-winning dishes are sliced, diced and sautéed to perfection. Highly regarded around the world and lead by 32 Michelin star French chef, Joël Robuchon, L’Atelier Robuchon’s fresh approach to high quality French cuisine has won numerous awards in recent years. Emphasis is given to specific ingredients whose taste is crucial with influences from Asia and in particular Japan.
